Grogan’s Castle is a historic building. With that said, we want our guests to feel like a king or queen, so the following amenities are provided:

From Cape to Cairo – Grogan’s Adventures
Ewart Grogan completed his traverse of the African continent while in his mid-twenties. The two and a half year journey was completed in the year 1900 and he documented his perilous trek within 4 months in his book “From the Cape to Cairo: The first traverse of Africa from south to north.”
Wildlife – Lake Jipe Conservancy
Grogan’s Castle is not only a 20 minute drive from the Tsavo West Game Park at the Lake Jipe Gate in order to view the Big Five (elephant, buffalo, leopard, rhino, lion), but Grogan’s Castle is located in its own private game conservancy.
The game conservancy which is known as the Lake Jipe Conservancy is set on 1400 acres of private land which has many plains game to closely observe such as zebra, kongoni, dik dik, bush buck, wildebeest and other unique animals such as the white tailed mongoose, porcupine and bush babies.
